Accessibility statement

Last updated 8 November 2026

In short: we want everyone to be able to use BumpSlip, including school staff using it one-handed in a busy playground and parents reading a copy on their phone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA.

1. What this covers

This statement covers the BumpSlip website at bumpslip.com, the staff web app, the parent copy pages and the BumpSlip phone app for staff. BumpSlip is run by BumpSlip Ltd.

2. Using BumpSlip

You should be able to:

  • tap every button and link easily, as they are at least 44 pixels in size;
  • read all text, as it has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background;
  • use the website with a keyboard only;
  • use a screen reader, as buttons, form fields and images have labels;
  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen;
  • understand the wording, as we use plain English.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

3. How accessible BumpSlip is

We have designed BumpSlip with accessibility in mind and checked it ourselves. It has not yet been independently audited against WCAG 2.2, so there may be problems we have not found.

We plan to have an independent audit and will update this statement with the results.

4. Reporting a problem

If you find a problem, or need information from BumpSlip in a different format, email info@bumpslip.com. Tell us the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use.

We will reply within 5 working days.

If you are a parent or carer and need a slip in a different format, you can also ask your child’s school.

5. Enforcement

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in Great Britain. If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). If you are in Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 8 November 2026. It is based on our own testing. We will review it at least once a year, and after any independent audit.
